“Movies touch our hearts and awaken our vision, and change the way we see things. They take us to other places, they open doors and minds. Movies are the memories of our lifetime, we need to keep them alive.”

... I said hey,

What's going on?

Due to COVID-19, the Majestic Theatre closed on March 13th, 2020, hoping to only be closed for a couple of weeks. Because of Colorado state law and restrictions, the Majestic was unable to operate for 6 months and therefore could not make rent payments. The Majestic Theatre closed for good on September 17th, 2020

We don't want to lose our movie theater because of COVID! We are Carrie, Conrad, and Whitney, former employees of the Majestic Theatre aka Children of the Popcorn. We incorporated a non-profit called Friends of the Majestic to fundraise the money to re-open our movie theater. The Majestic is the only commercial movie theater in a 2 hour radius, and one of the only sources of affordable nighttime entertainment for locals and tourists alike.

We believe saving the Majestic will take a village, but we’ve got one of the best villages around to make it happen.
